At the end of May 2024, 11 new VW ID. Buzz vehicles rolled into Eltronic A/S’s parking lot in Hedensted. These vehicles will serve as service cars, replacing the existing fossil fuel vehicles.

This transition to electric cars is part of Eltronic A/S’s broader initiative to reduce CO2 emissions and implement eco-friendly solutions in all aspects of the company. “We are proud to take this step towards a greener future,” says Thomas Honoré, Sustainability & Strategy Manager. “It is a clear signal of our commitment to sustainability and willingness to invest in technology that makes a positive difference.”

Part of a larger green initiative

Eltronic A/S has set an ambitious plan to replace all company service cars with electric vehicles. The long-term goal is to have a fleet of 40 electric cars by the end of 2027. This initiative underscores the company’s dedication to promoting sustainable practices and reducing its environmental impact.

Eltronic A/S looks forward to continuing this green journey and will persist in exploring and implementing innovative solutions that contribute to a sustainable future for both the company and its surroundings.

Technicians’ central role in the design process

The technicians at Eltronic A/S, who use the company’s service cars daily, have played a crucial role in the design process of the new VW ID. Buzz electric vehicles. By actively involving their practical experience and expertise, Eltronic has ensured that the cars are optimally adapted to the demands and challenges the technicians face in their daily work. This has resulted in each vehicle being equipped with custom-designed features and solutions that make the workday more efficient and seamless for the technicians.

“Our technicians have been indispensable in the development of these electric cars,” says Jacob Vendelbo, Service Manager at Eltronic. “Their input has ensured that we not only get a sustainable solution but also a practical and functional service car that meets the high standards we set for our company.”

To support the transition to electric vehicles, 20 charging stations will be installed over the summer of 2024, in addition to the existing 40 charging stations on Kilde Allé in Hedensted.
