Eltronic Group’s sustainability report for 2022/2023 includes all Eltronic Group subsidiaries and covers relevant aspects of the group’s and individual subsidiaries’ efforts in governance, environmental, and social areas to ensure sustainable development.
“In the fiscal year 2022-2023, we have significantly invested in digitalization, recognizing that data is a key driver in creating a sustainable future. I am also pleased that we have increased the representation of women on the board by 13.2%. Crucially, in the past year, we have once again invested resources in developing sustainable technologies, minimizing environmental impact, and enhancing our customers’ competitiveness,” says Eltronic Group CEO – Lars Jensen.
Sustainable development is at the core of Eltronic Group’s business strategy. The responsibility is taken seriously with the recognition that the eight companies in the group have a significant impact. The focus of the group’s activities is on creating solutions that positively impact society and contribute to the green transition by minimizing climate impact and reducing resource consumption.
Eltronic A/S’s values, corporate culture, and policies provide a solid foundation for their growth in recent years. They have strengthened their ESG efforts by achieving the EcoVadis bronze medal and aim to achieve the EcoVadis gold medal and a CDP A-rating by 2027.
The company has an overarching environmental goal to honor the Paris Agreement and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Therefore, Eltronic aims to commit to the Science Based Targets initiative at the beginning of 2024. They have implemented several initiatives, including the transition to electric vehicles and the installation of communal waste stations with six separate fractions to improve waste sorting and promote circularity.
At Eltronic, they are also committed to sustainable working conditions, prioritizing employee well-being through annual employee development surveys, staff meetings, and individual conversations. Safety is a high priority at Eltronic, reflected in a positive decrease of 63% in the Lost Time Injury Frequency (LTIF).
These efforts demonstrate their commitment to responsible business practices, transparency, diversity, and addressing climate change.
In line with Eltronic Group’s strategy, critical investments have been made in establishing an ESG data platform. This not only enhances operational efficiency but also enables the company to make informed decisions that align with its environmental and social goals.
Regarding environmental efforts, Eltronic Group has taken steps to promote the green transition. An agreement has been made to ensure that the electricity consumption at its Danish locations comes from 100% renewable energy. Additionally, the company actively engages in reducing emissions in accordance with scientific consensus on climate change, as companies within the group have signed up for the Science Based Targets program.
In the past year, Eltronic Group has also achieved a significant milestone with the introduction of goal-based social metrics within the group. “Our employees are crucial to our success, and we prioritize creating a safe and attractive workplace. At the same time, I am pleased to see an increased focus on diversity, equality, and inclusion, fostering an inclusive culture for sustained growth,” asserts Lars Jensen.
As a forward-looking organization, Eltronic Group continues to set clear and ambitious sustainability goals. The company has defined a roadmap that serves as a testament to its dedication to environmental responsibility and sets the stage for a future where its business practices seamlessly align with the principles of sustainability.
Eltronic A/S is an ambitious engineering company with more than 20 years of experience developing production systems and automation. Our goal is to be our customers’ preferred partner and to increase their global competitiveness and sustainability.
